I started on a lower % niacinamide serum, & I recently tried this one. I’m here buying my second round as I prefer the higher %. My skin is visibly smoother. Not sure if it’s from this or from the other serums I’m using, but I don’t want to change anything bc I finally found a regimen that’s working. It absorbs well, but I sometimes notice crusty white patches in my hair and eyebrows where the product has dried. I’d say that’s the only negative so far. The price is right for the quality.
I was using a niacinsmide product and finished that bottle ordered this one and it made my skin feel and look better in just 2 days. Gave turned several friends on to it and they love it. Buy it!
Removed new face sun spots overnight for me. I had been using a different brand (10%) routinely I saw this one, Opigen Niacinamide 22% + zinc and thought of trying this one. It’s not oily, leaves my face hydrated and skin soft. Great value for the money. I am so happy as I continue to use I see older sun spots on my face are lightening up. I feel confident my face will completely clear up from sun stains I thought were permanent.
El frío , me reseco mucho los párpados , me daño terriblemente mi piel debajo de los ojos y con la ayuda de este retinol , mi piel se ha recuperado , estaba reseca y con muchas líneas de expresión, funciona lo recomiendo.
This is the first niacinamide serum that you can see is working. I usually use the niacinamide serum from juvias place but this one here is so much better and I can see that it is working. It’s not for sensitive skin so be cautious but this is the holy grale for skin that has blemishes.
I’ve been really impressed with the Opigen Niacinamide 22% + Zinc Serum. The formula feels lightweight but effective, and a small amount goes a long way. After a few weeks of use, my skin looked brighter, smoother, and less oily throughout the day. It also helped reduce the appearance of pores and acne marks.
I took a "before" photo before starting this serum. I took an "after" today, 1 week later. Holy cow! I FELT when washing my face that it's been noticeably smoother, and the photos confirm it. Obviously my skin has a LOT of problems from many years of poor skincare (go ahead and judge; I dare you), but look what changed after just one week. Those giant pores on my right cheek look almost airbrushed away. That post-blemish hyperpigmentation spot under my left eye, and the general redness all over, are less red. The nasolabial folds are sliiiiightly but perceptibly lifted (to my eye). This is all after ONE WEEK 🙀 And I don't think the "after" photo is blurrier than the "before"? But you be the judge. It goes without saying, but these photos are untouched. I WANT to know the effects myself, for my own intellectual curiosity. There's no point in cheating.
Giant disclaimer: I also started using another product, CHARMZONE TopClass Lifting Bounce Cream, around the same time. I also reviewed that one and will update my review for it too. I know it means I threw all scientific credibility out the window, but my skin didn't want to wait. So I can't credit either product by itself for the improvements, but I can certainly credit the both of them together. I suspect this serum helped with the redness and pores, while the cream helped with the pores and lifting. The combo only costs less than $60, while there are miracle products out there going for hundreds, and I can't imagine those delivering results this noticeable much faster than one week. I'm in awe, y'all.
Original review:
I applied this at night and in the morning, my skin is soft and less oily than usual. No irritation or anything. So far so good 🤞
I have Opigen's hyaluronic acid and absolutely love it so I wanted to also try their niacinamide. I looked up the difference between the two and this is what I found on the internet: The critical difference between the two is that hyaluronic acid is helpful mainly in hydrating the skin. In contrast, niacinamide helps remove aging signs, treat acne, and provide an even skin tone.
So having said that, they are both clear gel like serum. The hyaluronic acid is thicker and dries faster without any tackiness. Niacinamide is thinner and feels sticky for a few seconds and then the skin absorbs it and becomes smooth. They recommend using niacinamide in areas that produces most oil or is problematic such as forehead, nose and cheek. It feels like there's a layer of protection after applying both of these serums and I can't believe how low the price is. This is great for everyone and especially teens that suffer from acne and other skin conditions and it's so good for them to use quality products that cost low instead of chasing trendy products that cost a lot due to marketing and packaging. I will be using this and then topping off with a vitamin C and retinol.
I want to add that I recommend using this at night. Depending on other products I use I’ve noticed that this could turn white on my skin or pill. I don’t know which product it interacts badly with. It could be the retinol or vitamin C, not sure so just easier to use at night for me.
This serum seems to work as a base layer before applying regular skincare products. It's described as creating a foundation for better absorption, though it's not entirely clear how it works. Tried using it first, followed by the usual routine, and the hydration seems to last longer than usual. Normally, the skin starts to feel a bit dry an hour after the nighttime routine, often needing another layer, but that hasn't felt necessary since adding this step.
This Niacinamide opigen 22% + Zinc Serum for Face is a non-irritating skincare serum that has no scent to it. It feels good on your skin, blends well with skincare, and gives a nice glow. After application, my skin felt a bit of a more tackiness or stickiness to it, but not overly so.
How did Korean's get so damn good at skin care? So far there has only been maybe one product from there that I was dissatisfied with. I really the feel of this as it goes on. My skin feels great afterwards. I don't know how much you are really supposed to use because they used the term so many seem to be using lately "an appropriate amount".... what is an appropriate amount? I almost took a star. My appropriate amount is quite a bit because I have used it all over my face, neck and even decolletage area. I don't have acne prone skin nor necessarily large pores so I can't really speak to how well it addresses those issues but it does seem to help with my skin tone and provides a really nice base for whatever moisturizer I am using.
This opigen Niacinamide 22% + Zinc Skin Serum Korean Skin Care goes on my skin like silk. It feels soothing and cool and gives my skin a bright dewy appearance. It feels a bit sticky but only briefly and as it dries, that goes away. This is a nice first step after cleansing and plays well with my other skincare items. I like that this is unscented and safe for sensitive skin. The listing states that Niacinamide is a high-concentration ingredient and may leave a white cast on the skin, I'm assuming from the zinc. I did not experience this at all though so I'm happy about that. It says this can happen if you use too much, but I used an entire dropper. It is also recommended to use this as a step in your routine, not just by itself. I always apply my moisturizer directly after this serum. Great product.
I got this because I have enlarged pores on the sides of my nose and on my nose. Niacinamide is used to target the appearance of uneven skin tone and more recently has shown that it can target signs of aging, enlarged pores and dry skin. I don't have dry skin so I only use it where I have enlarged pores.
One thing I LOVE about this product (and this brand) is that it is completely SCENT FREE. I don't think they say that in the description. I am allergic to most scents, and therefore, cannot use many skin care products. But this does not bother me one bit.
I recommend and will likely seek out this brand for other products and order again.
My skin can get a little ashy during the winter months, but this serum really woke it up! I spread it all over my face using a cottom pad and starting with my pore-pone T-zone area (nose chin, inner cheeks, forehead). The toner gave my skin a slightly tingling feel and a bit of a tightening effect. I was surprised that the pad picked up quite a bit of dirt, even though I had thoroughly washed my face before using the toner. Could this be a deeper cleansing effect of the pores? In any event, my skin is a little rosier and brighter after using this. Time will tell if it has a positive effect on my pores. Still, after limited use, I am optimistic about its longterm effect on my skin.
I haven't personally noticed any pore reduction from using this product, but that aside it is a nice product. It goes on similarly to a hyaluronic acid (a bit like a thin gel), and absorbs quickly. I didn't have any stinging or stickiness like a couple of others mentioned, so that was nice. Overall, it leaves my skin feeling hydrated and refreshed and I have no issues with using it at all. Nice skincare addition!
I love this small but mighty addition to my skincare routine. I've only been using it a small while but I really do feel like my pores are smaller, my face is smoother, and my overall complexion is evening out.
Theres no overwhelming scent and it's gentle on sensitive skin which is a bonus. I love Korean skincare I feel like you can hardly ever go wrong with it! 10/10
This is great for mixing into my regular moisturizers depending on the needs of my skin on any given day. The serum is gentle yet effective. I tried it by itself without mixing it with anything else and it absorbed well into my skin without causing any adverse effects or irritation. By itself, it leaves a slightly tacky texture, even though my ski feels really smooth and hydrated. It does disappear after a few minutes but I like to just mix a few drops with my moisturizer to save on time.
I use this Niacinamide serum, followed by a moisturizer, and love the way it hydrates and improves the texture of my skin. My skin looks noticeable better when using this serum in conjunction with my moisturizer, as compared to using my moisturizer alone.
This product does not irritate my skin.
My skin is really appreciating this serum! The texture is smooth and hydrating. There is no scent that I could discern. It feels great going on, and seems to plump up and soothe my dry, unhappy winter skin. I've had no negative reactions at all. A quality product at a great price.
I love serum! After washing my face and putting on toner, this serum adds instant hydration and glow. It isn't sticky or slimy or overly thick. It comes with a dropper that makes the ease of application much easier. This serum really helped restore moisture and rebuild my skin barrier in combination with my regular skin routine.
