It’s really light and feels great on the skin. Only been using a week so far but very happy. I have sensitive skin and my skin is already feeling so full of moisture and my dryness has gone.
For whatever reason, my skin stopped getting along with tretinoin, so I decided to see if this would work for me. Retinols can be really hit-or-miss for my skin, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Especially with the addition of Vitamin E, which more often than not, translates to a greasy product. So you can imagine my surprise when I discovered this is a fairly light cream that absorbs readily, and it seems to work just as well as my old prescription cream. To be fair, maybe this just maintains the progress I made with my old cream, but I'm ok with that.
I appreciate how this isn't just a treatment but also a moisturizer. The fewer skincare steps I have to go through every night, the better. And, to that end, I'm using this stuff once a day at night. Despite experiencing some fairly significant weight loss recently, I haven't noticed any increased skin laxity or issues.
Another thing to note: I used to struggle with strawberry nose. Retinols have been great at helping me get rid of the spots, but I'd always start to flake at the crease where my nostrils meet my face. No problem with this one, which is awesome.
It's gentle, and I'd recommend it for a retinol beginner or someone looking to maintain their results.
The percentage concentration of 0.1% is higher than my prescription retinol of 0.05% but it is less potent, and more of a moisturizer than an active product. I like the moisturizing effect, not drying like regular retinol, and think it works fine but is not life changing. No fragrance, non greasy, and leaves skin feeling soft. Okay, but not sure if I would repurchase.
This is a really good entry-level retinol cream. At .1% it can be a bit irritating at first and drying. I would suggest if you're new to retinols, using a tiny amount every other day, then after a few days with no irritation, move up to every day. I always use this in the evening, to help with sun sensitivity, but also always wear sunscreen. 'The cream is very moisturizing, but I would still use a separate moisturizer over this one, unless you have very oil prone skin.
I like this cream a lot, but the tube is rather small, and mine is just about gone. It did make a visible difference in my skin texture and fine lines, with everyday use.
This is a lightweight cream, and it does layer well with the rest of my routine.
The ingredients are fantastic, and I think it is fragrance-free, at least I haven't noticed any scent to it.
Great value for such a quality product.
My skin is liking this Pure Retinol 0.1% Cream with Panthenol & Vitamin E Anti-Aging Moisturizer. This cream comes in a no frills tube, looking more like a first aid product that a beauty product but that doesn’t affect my opinion of this product. This retinol cream is working well for my skin. I squeeze a bit onto my fingertip then rub it together with the finger of the other hand and gently smooth over my skin. I am mainly using this on my under eye area in order to give it an extra anti-aging boost which is especially important in the dry winter and the fact that currently I have been a bit under the weather and want to be sure my skin isn’t affected by my illness. I find that the cream easily slides over my skin and absorbs fairly quickly leaving my skin feeling moisturized. It has a light maybe fruity floral scent that I enjoy.
I am an experienced retinoid user and have used both OTC retinol products like this and (currently) use a prescription one. I have also used several Opigen products and generally like them as a brand.
That said, I take issue with how this is presented. Rx strength products are typically described in terms of % concentration, but not OTC ones. Retinols are also not as potent as retinoids. Overall, I feel like this is deliberately confusing product positioning. This 0.1% retinOL can't be evaluated on the same level as, say, .05% or .025% retinOIDs.
With that clarified and settled, I decided to use this on my hands to help with some fine lines. It is not more drying than what I am used to; about middle-of-the-road for OTC products. I top it with a rich, emollient cream about 5 minutes after application. It is doing what I expect a low-strength retinol product to do.
For the price, I would consider reordering and would recommend.
Pure Retinol 0.1% Cream with Panthenol & Vitamin E Anti-Aging Moisturizer | Helps Improve Skin Texture & Fine Lines 1.01 fl oz Korean Skin Care:
I ordered this for myself. I've tried using retinol in the past, but unfortunately I have sensitive skin and it really dried me out. I was hoping this would be a good alternative.
This is a smaller tube, but perfect for light application. This didn't have a bothersome smell and is easy to use. I experienced no additional skin irritation or side effects. I still haven't experienced any miraculous results, but will continue to use.
The price is fair for the quality you receive.
I’d say this is a solid retinol option for the price. The 0.1% strength feels like a good starting point if you’re easing into retinol or don’t want something overly harsh. It spreads easily and layers well with moisturizer.
I did notice some mild dryness at first, which is pretty normal with retinol, but pairing it with a good moisturizer helped. It didn’t cause extreme irritation for me, which I appreciated. Over time, my skin texture looked a bit smoother and more even.
The tube packaging keeps it simple and easy to control how much you use. For the cost and the ingredient combo with panthenol and vitamin E to help buffer it, it feels like a good value if you’re looking for an affordable retinol to try.
Pure Retinol 0.1% Cream with Panthenol & Vitamin E Anti-Aging Moisturizer | Helps Improve Skin Texture & Fine Lines 1.01 fl oz Korean Skin Care
I've started having more fine lines and I'm getting IPL done to help with sun spots. I was looking for a low dose retinol and this one looked good as it's a Korean skin care. I've loved nearly all the Korean products I've tried.
This cream comes in a tube like a first aid ointment. The tube is quite large and thus will last for a long time. This is described as a cream but it's more like a gel. It glides on to the skin and absorbs instantly. It feels really nice. I can use this product and not need any moisturizer on top. In fact I have skipped my serum and eye cream and just use this product on a day I'm not leaving the house (and need to have a full face on).
I have issues finding creams that are ok around my eyes. I have sensitive eyes and the wrong product causes burning all day long until I wash it off. This cream hasn't had any negative effect on my eyes so it seems very gentle and non irritating. I haven't had any red patches or irritation with this retinol cream.
This Korean retinol cream is very nice. The price is really good for the amount of product you get. The tube will last for months. I haven't used this for long enough to see benefits but can already tell a difference in the softness of my skin. This is a great retinol cream to begin with.
Retinol is one of those things that some people's skin can tolerate, some can't. I fall into the latter category. It's heatbreaking. It has everyting I want, everything I need... it accelerates cell turnover, boosts collagen production and reduces fine lines, wrinkles, and dark spots. The last time I used pure retinol, I looked like I fell asleep in the sun for seven hours with baby oil on. It was terrible. Because of this, I've been VERY reluctant to give it another go. In my trials and errors of skincare, I've come to realize that a lot of my issues are that the products themselves are often too harsh for my sensitive skin. That is why after many failed attempts at getting a good skincare regime down, I've learned that Korean skincare is the answer I've been looking for. It's been my experience that they tend to be gentler on th skin. This is a product of Korea and the only reason why I tried something that touts retinol as one of its primary ingredients. Not only did my skin not have a negative reaction to it, it seemed to take to the cream rather well. I have noticed a slight reduction in the size of my pores and a red, irritated area on one of my cheeks is no longer visible after only one use. As I dip my toes back into the retinol pool, it helps that this product also contains vitamin e and doubles as a moisturizer. If you've ever had bad luck with retinol in the past, give this product a try.
I genuinely love Opigen products. I discovered the brand randomly while searching for high-concentration active ingredients and was honestly so impressed. Opigen offers seriously potent formulations at shockingly affordable prices. I already own their 30% Panthenol Serum and their 3% Hyaluronic Acid Serum—both of which perform beautifully and cost a fraction of what similar products from brands like COSRX do. Their 23% Vitamin C Serum has also been on my radar, so when I saw they released a retinol, I was immediately excited.
My skin is already well acclimated to tretinoin, so I wasn’t expecting any issues—but I was pleasantly surprised by how strong this retinol actually is (in the best way). It absorbs quickly, isn’t sticky, and doesn’t leave that oily or greasy film that so many retinol products do. I love that I can apply it after my usual nighttime routine without any pilling or texture issues.
I’ve only been using this for about a week, so it’s still early, but I’ve already noticed subtle improvements—specifically, fine lines around my eyes look softer. I actually took a selfie expecting to see them and was shocked when they weren’t as noticeable. This was the only new product I added to my routine, so if I’m already seeing results this quickly, I’m really excited to see what long-term use brings. Overall, another Opigen win!
I’ve been using the Opigen Pure Retinol Cream, and it’s been such a great addition to my nighttime skincare routine. The 0.1% retinol strength feels effective without being overly harsh, which makes it perfect if you’re starting out or want something gentle but still results-driven.
I love that it includes panthenol and vitamin E — it helps keep my skin feeling moisturized and calm while the retinol works. I’ve noticed my skin texture looking smoother and more refined, and my overall tone appears more even with consistent use.
The cream absorbs well, doesn’t feel greasy, and layers nicely under a moisturizer. As with any retinol, I made sure to start slowly and use sunscreen during the day, and I haven’t experienced any major irritation.
If you’re looking for a beginner-friendly retinol that helps support smoother, more youthful-looking skin while still being hydrating, this one is definitely worth trying!
I’ve tried other products from this brand and really liked them, and this cream didn’t disappoint. I’ve been using this 0.1% retinol cream for a few weeks now, and I’d say it’s a solid starter option.
The texture is creamy and lightweight, spreads smoothly, and absorbs easily. It feels more like a nourishing night cream than a typical retinol treatment. I appreciate that it includes soothing ingredients like panthenol, vitamin E, and shea butter, which help reduce dryness and irritation. I use it every night, and my skin hasn’t peeled or felt irritated at all.
I’ve noticed continued gentle improvement over time. Since 0.1% is a low concentration, this is definitely more of a slow and steady product. It’s great for building tolerance or maintaining results, especially if you have sensitive skin. If you’re already a seasoned retinol user, you may find it on the milder side.
I’m honestly so impressed with this retinol cream. Such a pleasant surprise for the price! The 0.1% strength is perfect for beginner to intermediate users. Gives smooth, refined skin texture and helps soften fine lines without being too harsh or irritating. It has a light, clean, luxurious fragrance that truly makes it feel like a high end product. The creamy texture is super easy to use and layers well with the rest of my routine. My skin has been tolerating it really and I’ve already noticed a brighter and smoother look. For the effectiveness and the value for money this one is a total win and feels like it should cost way more. K beauty stays undefeated.
I've used many different retinol creams over the years and I really like this one. It has a light gel like consistency a pleasant floral rose scent and it absorbs well.
Theis retinol cream has a 1 percent concentration which is perfect for me for daily wear. I apply it nightly under other thicker moisturizers and make sure to use sun protectant in the morning
I've had no adverse effects from it and no irratation. The cream is scented so it might not be the best for someone with very sensitive skin.
The tube is fairly large and as you only need a small amount should last for a while. I think the price is very fair for the quality of this cream.
I’ve used higher percentages of retinol prescribed by my dermatologist before. Those were higher percentages that you have to be kind of careful. Otherwise your skin could peel or get irritated.
This opegen brand is a Korean skin care that has a low percentage of retinol, so it’s pretty gentle. I just started using it at night and no bad reactions. My skin feels comfortable, so far so good! It also did not feel greasy and seemed to absorb pretty well.
This retinol cream also comes in a simple, very handy and easy to use tube. It’s small enough and convenient to take while traveling to use with nighttime skin care routine. The price at this time is actually really pretty reasonable so this is a good value.
I added this retinol cream to my nighttime routine and it has been very easy to use. The texture feels smooth and absorbs quickly without leaving any residue. I did not notice irritation or dryness when using a small amount, which made it comfortable to apply regularly. My skin feels softer in the morning and looks more even after consistent use. The tube design is simple and makes it easy to control how much product I use.
This is a Korean skin care product that contains retinol, vitamin E, shea butter, panthenol, and glycerin. The retinol is 0.1% which is the most allowed in OTC products. This is an excellent combination for firming skin, shrinking pores, and smoothing fine lines and wrinkles.
It says to test an area to be sure there is no sensitivity. It goes on smooth and has a slight floral scent. I’ve had no problems with sensitivity. Just a dab goes a long ways so this tube will last me around 6 months. I’m hoping to see evidence of improvement in my skin by that time. Retinol has a proven track record but it’s just OTC strength, not an overnight miracle. I’m still waiting for that one.
This is an 0.1% cream that includes retinol and vitamin E. It is made in Korea, which has very strict guidelines and regulations on facial products. That gives me peace of mind. Retinol is a very strong ingredient and for many years was prescription only. It needs to be used carefully. I will be using it only at night, when my sun exposure is nonexistent. It’s a proven, extremely effective ingredient that gives you much more youthful skin. The manufacturer suggest daily use for refining, rough texture, and helping to maintain a firm and healthy complexion. You need to apply an appropriate amount of the cream to your entire face as the final step of your skin care routine gently patted on for optimal absorption
This retinol cream is a creamy balm consistency and that feels deeply moisturizing. The formula is gentle and well balanced, the intensity of the retinol is buffered with hydrating and soothing ingredients. I layer it over my toner and serum a couple nights a week, it helps heal acne and smooths my skins texture. I also absolutely love the botanical scent, it smells like a fresh flower garden.
