I was genuinely impressed with how effective and easy to use this pore‑cleansing kit from Opigen turned out to be. It comes with a generous bottle of the sebum‑melting solution, 50 thin cotton pads sized perfectly for the nose or other areas, and a sturdy extractor tool for a deeper clean after treatment.

Using it couldn’t be simpler. I saturated one of the included pads, placed it over my nose, and let it sit for about 15–20 minutes. The pad stayed in place the entire time and covered my whole nose without shifting. The solution has a fresh, pleasant scent and felt gentle on my skin with zero irritation.

After removing the pad, I used the extractor tool to glide along my nose, and I was honestly surprised by how much excess sebum it lifted away. My nose looked smoother, felt cleaner, and although it was slightly dry afterward, it didn’t bother my skin at all. A quick follow‑up with my usual moisturizer brought everything back into balance.

For the amount of product you get and how well it works, this is a great, effective kit at a very good price point.

What is this magic? I grew up in the age of BIore nose strips -which I can't use because my nose is clear and my skin is sensitive. I saw this and had to try it.

I applied it to my chin (those delta triangle pads are excellently shaped) and let it sit. It seemed to get warm as it sat so I didn't leave it on for the full 10 minutes. Once I removed the pad, I used the scraper. I can't. I definitely scraped off gunk that I could see on the scraper. And it didn't hurt like blackhead removal tools. My chin is now smoother than it has been in years. I swear there's a line where I used it and where I didn't.

The packaging didn't note it, but according to my internet research it can be used between 1 and 3 times a week depending on your oil level and skin sensitivity.

The product is well packaged: bottle sealed and has a screw on lid, separate application lid, sealed application pads, scraper and lid packaged separately inside the box.

I’ve used a few Opigen products now and have always had a great experience. This pore-cleansing set is another winner for me. It’s a very unique three-piece system that comes with gauze pads, a melting serum, and an extraction tool (which is essentially a gentle skin scraper). The first time I tried it, I didn't apply enough serum to the swab, and it didn't do much. The second time, I saturated it completely and it did a wonderful job of loosening up the dirt and sebum on my nose. When you drag the scraping tool across the skin, it does require a bit of pressure to get the "gunk" out. If your skin is highly sensitive, the pushing might feel like a bit much at first, but your skin gets used to it after a few uses. It definitely makes pore maintenance much more efficient and slightly less painful.

Pore strips always felt like they were doing more damage than good...so switching to a melting kit has been a shift. It’s much less aggressive on the skin and the results feel more thorough because it softens everything before you lift it away instead of pulling at the surface.

The process is straightforward: soak one of the thin cotton pads, let it sit on the nose or chin for about 15 minutes and then use the little scraper tool to glide everything off. It’s surprising how much comes up without squeezing or irritating the skin. The formula loosens things enough that the whole area feels smoother afterward... especially if you follow with something cooling like a cold compress or a hydrating serum.

If you struggle like I do with those tiny bumps that make foundation look textured, this is a nice addition to a weekly routine. It also keeps the nose area looking more refined and helps cut down on midday shine. It’s definitely a gentler way to handle buildup without the redness and harshness of traditional extractions.

It is very easy to use - just soak the cotton pad in the solution and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. Afterwards you can scrape all the gunk out with the included tool. I love that this set comes with everything you need to clean your pores. I love this so much better than the pore strips which cause me so much irritation. I have sensitive skin and this does not bother me at all. I follow it up with a good serum and moisturizer when I am done which really seems to help. For the current price of $26.90 this is a great deal.

I'm honestly surprised that this works, because it seemed a bit gimmicky to me when I first got it. It's a kit that comes with a squeeze bottle of liquid, 50 cotton pads shaped to fit your nose, and a metal blade with a blue handle and cover that comes off. You soak the pad and apply for about 10 minutes, then use the scraper to slowly push out sebum. I did manage to get a pretty decent line of gunk! Definitely not pimples or blackheads, but sort of an oily dead skin residue. My nose felt drier and softer to the touch when I got up the next morning, and didn't have a ton of oil like the rest of my facial skin. Probably best to use maybe once every other week--any more than that and it might be too much for most people's skin.
